Reverse Lindy Turn

This move is a Lindy Turn performed in the opposite direction, with the follower travelling anticlockwise around the leader rather than clockwise. This reversal has an element of surprise which can be helpful to confirm that the lead and follow connection is working properly.

1. M:BL W:TweFR Start from an open position, with the leader's left hand holding the follower's right hand. The leader takes a step backward on his left foot, momentarily rocking his weight back onto that foot. The follower steps slightly forward on her right foot with a twist step.
2. M:RR W:TwFL The leader replaces his weight on his right foot, rocking back forwards. The leader begins to draw his left hand toward himself to lead the follower to step towards him. The follower steps forward on her left foot with a twist step.
3. M:FL1L W:FR1L The leader takes a step forward on his left foot, turning slightly to his left, stepping slightly to the right so the follower comes in past his left hand side. The follower takes a step forward on her right foot, turning slightly to her left, stepping to the leader's left hand side. (image: reverse J-shape lead)
&. M:TR1L W:FL1L The leader closes his right foot to his left foot, continuing to turn slightly to his left, moving his right hand to hold the follower's back. The follower takes a step forward on her left foot, continuing to turn slightly to her left.
4. M:XL2L W:FR2L The leader takes a step with his left foot across and in front of his other foot, continuing to turn another 90° to his left. The follower takes a step forward on her right foot, continuing to turn another 90° to her left. At the end of this beat, the dancers are facing in the opposite direction compared to the start of the move.
5. M:SR2L W:FL2L The leader takes a step to the side on his right foot, continuing to turn another 90° to his left, moving out of the way of the follower's step, pulling the follower towards himself with his left hand and letting go with his right hand. The follower takes a step forward on her left foot, continuing to turn another 90° to her left. (image: leader rotates follower with right hand)
6. M:XL2L W:SR2L The leader takes a step with his left foot across and in front of his other foot, continuing to turn another 90° to his left. The follower takes a step to the side on her right foot, continuing to turn another 90° to her left.
7. M:eBR W:eBL The leader takes a step slightly backward on his right foot. The follower takes a step slightly backward on her left foot.
&. M:TL W:TR The leader closes his left foot to his right foot. The follower closes her right foot to her left foot.
8. M:RR W:RL The leader replaces his weight on his right foot. The follower replaces her weight on her left foot.
