Heel Toe

The central motion for this step is in the feet, and so these comparatively small movements need to be exaggerated for visibility: the foot should be well out to the side, and the heel and toe pointing movements should make the foot as near to vertical as possible.

1. S:TaSR Start with the dancer's weight on their left foot. The dancer taps to the side with their right foot, using the heel of the foot with the toe pointed upwards.
2. S:TaSR The dancer taps to the side with their right foot, using the toe of the foot, with the foot pointed down.
3. S:TaSR The dancer taps to the side with their right foot with the heel of the foot.
&. S:SR The dancer takes a step to the side on their right foot.
4. S:HL The dancer takes a step with their left foot back and behind their other foot.
&. S:SR The dancer takes a step to the side on their right foot.
5. S:TaSL The dancer taps to the side with their left foot, using the heel.
6. S:TaSL The dancer taps to the side with their left foot with the toe of the foot.
7. S:TaSL The dancer taps to the side with their left foot with heel.
